Alternative Housing

Posted by Lori on Aug-16-2008

I ran across this website on a quest for Earthships.  Really I love the idea of having a multi-building environment and they idea of choosing multiple methods to build the houses.  This site has got you covered, there is explanations of many different types of architecture, many different mediums.

Your hosts at greenhomebuilding.com are Kelly and Rosana Hart. We are happy to be able to provide you with the wide range of information related to sustainable architecture and natural building available at this site. As an example of natural building, the image at the upper left was taken during the construction of the earthbag house that served as our home in Southern Colorado for many years.

They built and live in a Earthbag house, there are great pictures and the story at the website.  Kelly also does some designing that you can find at  http://www.dreamgreenhomes.com

I highly recommend that site as a starting point to discover new and interested netural and green building ideas.
